10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

An Unforgettably fresh and snappy take on a Shakespeare play of another name.

Regan Humphrey

Bubbly, beautiful sophomore Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik) has a problem. She isn’t allowed to date, unless Kat (Julia Stiles), her militant, hostile older sister dates too. Enter Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the new kid on the block, who, completely enamored of Bianca, hatches a plan to get Kat a boyfriend, thereby freeing Bianca to date him. The right (and only) candidate equal to the task is Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), a rough-cut outcast. With equally gruesome reputations, the pair make a formidable match.
