Drive Me Crazy (1999)

The nineties ROMCOM at its best.

Regan Humphrey

When former childhood friends Nicole Maris (Melissa Joan Hart) and Chase Hammond (Adrian Grenier) are snubbed by romantic partners, both are left high and dry. Fake dating could be the solution to their problems, but who’s going to believe Ms. School Spirit and the angsty, anti-establishment slacker are an item? Absolutely no one—unless Nicole can turn the frog into a prince.

SUMMARY
A soundtrack where The Donnas, Plumb, and Britney Spears appear? Excellent. The story of two ex-friends repairing their relationship and falling in love? Equally excellent. While slut shaming and female objectification make appearances, this romcom is as close to the total package as one got in the 90s.
