Out of Sight (1998)

A nuanced romance film slow-cooked with the flavors of a gritty crime comedy.

Regan Humphrey

Jack Foley (George Clooney), a suave bank robber, meets special agent, Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez), after a creative escape from prison. While on the run from FBI, he and Buddy (Ving Rhames) plan the cliche and ill-fated “last job,” after which they’ll be rich enough to retire from the heist business. As the pair for them court disaster, Jack also courts Karen. Despite the impracticality of their romantic potential, Jack and Karen connect, forcing them to engage on right and wrong sides of the law.
