Forgettable, as Barbie movies go.
Regan Humphrey
In this Barbie-fied version of the Brothers Grimm classic, Genevieve (Kelly Sheridan) is one of King Rudolph’s 12 daughters. When the king takes ill, he invites his strict and covetous cousin, Duchess Rowena (Catherine O’Hara) to look after the girls and refine them into respectable young ladies. Genevieve and her sisters only find one escape from their new governess—a portal to a magical land, where the girls are free to dance their nights away. When they discover Rowena has been secretly poisoning their father in an attempt to steal the crown, they must find a way to use the land’s magic to save him and defeat Rowena before it’s too late.
